Kick off your summer season of reading with comics and zines made by New England artists and writers! Saturday’s program highlights books made for kids and the young at heart, while Sunday’s event includes materials for all ages. This program is organized in collaboration with artist Dave Ortega, whose interactive installation Comics: Frame by Frame is featured in the ICA’s Bank of America Art Lab.

- Talk and signing by Raul Gonzalez of his book Lowriders to the Center of the Earth in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater at 1:30 PM
- All-ages comics available from artists Jef Czekaj, Bob Flynn, Marika McCoola, Fish McGill, Dan Moynihan, Ansis Puriņš, and Catalina Rufin

- See wares and learn about processes from Elaine Bay, TJ Kelley III with Wing Club Portland, Dan Mazur, Tak Toyoshima, and Jack Turnbull
