Artforum’s newest video series, “Under the Influence,” invites the most significant artists of today to discuss the ideas, events, works, and people that have been crucial to their development. For this inaugural episode, we talk to Charles Atlas, a pioneer in film and video, whose first museum survey in the United States, “About Time,” opened this month at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston and runs until March 16, 2025. Atlas’s Top Ten appears in the October 2024 issue of Artforum.
