For twenty years, choreographer Liz Gerring has explored the abstract possibilities of pure movement through intensely physical, deeply intricate choreography. At the ICA, the Liz Gerring Dance Company will continue creating a new performance that explores connections between music, choreography, and the natural world, set to premiere at this ICA in October. Featuring a newly commissioned string quartet by composer John Luther Adams, Gerring and her company will make the creative process visible with an open rehearsal FREE to all museum visitors.
Summer Stages Dance @ the ICA is made possible, in part, with the support of Jane Karol and Howard Cooper, George and Ann Colony, David Parker, The Aliad Fund, and Stephanie and Leander McCormick-Goodhart.
